Hi - can anyone recommend a workshop in North Yorkshire (I'm in Harrogate) that'll do a good job on fitting an aftermarket exhaust to a Cooper S (Magnaflow or similar)?

Only ordered the car last week and am already planning on what mods to make, but could use some guidance here.

Anyone know if replacing the exhaust would invalidate the warranty?

Hi Indi.

Replacing the exhaust won't invalidate the warranty, but if the exhaust and/or fitment of it damaged or caused extra wear-and-tear to other components, those other components wouldn't be covered under the warranty. There's also TLC to be careful of - your dealer shouldn't class an aftermarket exhaust as an "engine enhancement", but the best thing to do is to contact your dealer (Victoria?) and see if they're ok with the warranty/TLC issues with your exhaust.

I'm in Leeds, and I use mini-design.com for all my mods (Leeds-based). They're great, they always do a really good job and go out of their way to help you.

Yep - Victoria are the lucky dealer to take my hard earned cash - they seem to be a man down as one of the two sales guys left a couple of weeks ago, possibly sooner than he/they thought! The one man who's still there shouldn't have trouble hitting his sales targets as he's running round with his ar*e on fire!

Not sure what his name was - according to my sales guy (Richard Gilligan) he worked for Massingberd VW in Harrogate before Victoria (poor ***), and Richard used to work at Massingberd's in Otley - he's only been at Victoria 3 months himself! Let's hope the service guys have been there longer.

Thinking about the exhaust / warranty issue, I think I'll be asking for written confirmation there's no problem from the dealer before getting the spanners out.

lol, no. They're just really good!

They may be a little bit more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for. Customer service is excellent.
