New Zealand Pilo Ignition

Should receive my Pilo ignition upgrade tomorrow. Wondering if there could be any compatiability issues with my EVOTech ECU ?

I wasn't sure what you were refering to , so I had to look it up.

I assume your talking about this product right? I've never seen, or heard anything about it.

It shouldn't have any effect on your EvoTech. But, maybe you should email them to be sure... mini@thepilo.com

i also bought it and installed the ignition upgrade, my car does run smoother, however becuase it might be due to oil change that i did when i installed the system, so i have to drive a bit more and see if its due to the ignition upgrade, however so far im pretty happy with it

I hope you car didn't run smoother with just an oil change.... unless you didn't have any oil in you engine.

Ok,Easy install, right down to indexing the Plugs.. ..And..........STUMBLE FREE !!!!!!!!!!
Noticing a slight hesitation in 2nd through 6th under moderate to heavy acceleration, not sure if it's just related to a quicker throttle response ?

Hey Guys,

I am around some times over here.. I try not to talk too much about my product here as I am a sponsor over at NAmotoring. I know that there is a person running M& Plasma booster and thePilo Ignition, and is very happy with his setup. Not sure about the M& + nology though. The Coil Pack, Plugs and wires are a great way to smooth out idle and acceleration. I get so many compliments on how mch smoother the car is with the Ignition upgrade. If you have any other questions, please let me know. and I will be sure to check in and answer them.

Thanks
Dan

What gap would you recommend with your coil, my Magnecor wires and Denso Iridiums?

I would recomend about a .60 to .65 Depending on how much GAP the Denso's can take. I recomend a Pliers type gap tool to make the precise gaps. It works really well, and will give you the best performance.

Thanks
Dan

Andy, it's not "hopefully", it does make a difference, I mean, each of them. I have actually installed all of them and can share my personal experience here. Three of them have some similarities : make your engine run smoother, reduce emmision, save gas, etc. But each one of them has its strong emphasis.
M7 PB : smooth out the whole rev range, and DOES improve gas consumption.
Pilo : Give better gain at low rev range, feel much stronger than M7, I saw blue fire from exhaust pipe when down shifting....
Nology : relative smaller gain compare to previous two, but LOOK is important, isn't it.

Rgd to $, or C/P value, don't want to discuss here, it's too difficult.
