Offline | Pipercross Induction Kit Install Tips Sounds great and only costs £89 - however instructions are pretty poor! Bits I got stuck on are explained below. YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE PIPERCROSS INSTRUCTIONS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THESE TIPS TAKING BITS OFF Once main airbox has been removed (pretty easy) you need to take off the flexipipe (C/B) from the airscoop (A) Not so easy. Undo the 3 clips (A) and slide out scoop, this makes the flexipipe (C) alot easier to get off. Ease off flexi pipe being carful not to crush. Clip scoop back on after pipe removal. FITTING BITS What 's not clear is where some of the brakets go. First bolt (D) to the the big black bracket (E) using bolt and washer. Fit rubber washer (F shown yellow) around the outside of the intake pipe. Open up the jubilee clip (G) and thread it through the small silver mounting (D). Now fasten (G) back together and then place loosly around the air intake pipe and washer(F). Loosly bolt right hand end of (E) to the chassis member using supplied bolt and antishake washer. Slip cone filer in end of air intake pipe and tighten jubilee clip (G) until a seal is obtained - tight but not too tight! Once this is fitted OK tighten up the chassis mounting bolt on right of bracket (E). ![]() ![]() Check you've not left any tools on the engine, no wires/pipes are rubbing on your new bits then close bonnet and drive off. You will not be disapointed!!!! FOR MORE IMAGES http://homepage.mac.com/hoganscrogan/ Last edited by Hoganscrogan : Mar 5th, 2002 at 11:55 AM. |
