Advice on which ECU upgrade to go for.

After Crimbo I will hopefully be getting an ECU upgrade to go with my other mods (that you can see in my sig).
So what is the best one to go for a normal superchip upgrade from Mini-Design or the one click from Cool New or AMD.
Any advice on this subject would be much appreciated.

GIAC from Helix in Philly, PA, USA. Unfortunately, it is not due out for a few months, but it'll kick butt I'm sure of that!

DS/W MCS all packages, 19% pulley, larger injectors, GIAC ECU, Madness intake, UUC exhaust, Milltek Header

Will the cool new and AMD systems are the same upgrade, a remap would be better IMHO than a plug in upgrade as it would be specific to your car

Dunno but one of the specialists that do engine maps or i think uni chips are car specific too, and are rolling road setup. Im not really impressed by the one click system someone i know that works in engine mapping says the ideas good but the maps they use are crap, superchips only releases 7bhp which i think is a but punny really and not worth it, ive also heard that it doesnt feel that much different either

Loui what about that fact that I have had a few performance mods done to the car. As that figure of 7bhp is on a standard MCS or will the bhp still be the same figure no matter what you have done already?

GIAC has been using my car here in So Cal for testing. I'm not going to pretend I understand everything they are doing with the ECU, but I can tell you they are getting good power. They have taken their time, but they are working seriously on releasing a quality product. Eric@helix could probably give you more specific info.

happy holidays,

Chili Red & White MCS. Alta 15% pulley, Alta intake, GIAC software coming soon..

Hi Dark Mini,
Why don't you go for the BBR since there're so many positive reviews about it?
If you go for the AMD, it would a good idea to get the Milltek header and 3-piece cat-back too since this is probably the exhaust system they used to set the maps.
