Never had these on my Mini, but they are always referred to as HK$. I would think you can get a similar if not better exhaust from UUC, Supersprint, etc ... Intake same ... IMO

think i might go for the jcw exhaust and induction kit. didnt realise they could be bought seperatly and are cheaper than hks. plus they aint gonna start any warrenty issues with the dealership. does anyone know if they can be bought and fitted at the dealer when i order my car.

Will that HKS induction fit my JCW S ? It says "Cooper - All models" which does suggest that it will fit, but can someone confirm that?

i have had zooooom's HKS exaust for a bout 18 months now - it sounds lovely. I think if you do a search on HKS or moonshine as a user name, you will get some hits. also id you download the video of the borders run from www.newminiscotland.co.uk, i am the first car though ythe water splash!!

the link appears to be working now.

as i said, the HKS is firs though (with a pipercross induction kit) and you hear it crackling and spitting up the exit through two hairpins as zooooom comes through the watersplash with a JCW induction kit and a play mini system - the HKS| can still be heard over it!!! :O

let me know what you think!

I can't comment on HKS on MINI's, but I've got HKS kit on my Supra. It's expensive - but good.

Yeah I agree Punkey.

HKS are expensive but for a very good reason. It's probably true that they don't give any more horse power than another aftermarket exhaust but have you seen the quality?

The welds are works of art in their own right. Absolutely fantstic engineering and put all the other exhausts to shame. There is only one other exhust I've seen with better quality. Another Jap make and can't think of the name now. They cost about half again on top of HKS products though

It was acceptable in the 80's

very impressive moonshine!

it's a toss up between the hks and the john cooper works.

think there roughly the same price but aint sure what the jcw one is like. theres a lad down the road with a jcw cooper which sounds great but the exhaust on the website and the one on his car differ - his looks like the slash cut play mini but its a jcw.

think the fact that the dealer could get the jcw fitted when i pick up my car could be the deciding factor..... unless anyone can pursuad me otherwise.

anyone can fit the hks... i'd go for hks myself - shouldn't have any warranty issues. nothing wrong with my playmini one anyway

The slash cut one is from the old 132BHP conversion the one on the website is from the new 122BHP conversion.

132 nice and loud, 122 quiet.
