Proposed 2004 Mods?

I'm sure that I'm not the only one here who has a growing list for this year, and even beyond... I'm curious to know what others are planning for their performance upgrades in 2004. I suppose when we talk performance, there are several broad categories that can, and in some instances, should be addressed:

1. Power (HP & torque) creation and liberation

2. Suspension/Handling/Control

3. Braking

4. Weight-reduction

These four just came to mind while I sit in bed, working from home If I missed something, let me know...

There are obviously limiting factors in addressing these to our othewise unbridled desires. Two of the most popular, at least for me, are Time and Money. Others can be the possession or access of/to necessary expertise, facilities, tools, or even a SO (I guess that would be $ though ). You get the point. Given these limiting factors, and the like, coupled with what you would like to do this year, what's the plan???

I'll start things off:

1. Possbily a new SC. If not, a 17 or 19% reduction pulley, with an upgraded IC. If a desirable header comes to mkt, I'd like to mate that up with a home-job 2.5" straight exit (removed or shortened battery box) catback. I'm also contemplating an oil cooler...

2. LEDAs! H-Sport front sway bar. Aftermkt seats (leaning toward some Cobra Susukas). Possibly front control arms.

3. I have done NOTHING here yet. Randy is working on a 16" big brake kit, and Peter (M7) is working on something exotic (ceramic and ti, I believe). Depending on the price of these, I might just do fluid and pads and call it a year...

4. Much of the above will shed weight [coilovers (12), the exhaust plans (12+, from my QS), seats (35-40), front sway (3), control arms (8), brake kit (?)...]. This 70 or so pound reduction would put me at minus 210 from my stock MCS.

I see 2005 for going inside - the engine and tranny. jlm and others are doing just fine paving that path

Not exactly a focused discussion here. Hope you guys don't mind sharing. I think it would be beneficial to see how we are all thinking... Thanks!

My upgrades will be as follows:
1: Getting the car will add ~60 bhp (current ride 1995 Civic DX)
2: Add a Mini2 sticker (sure to add .000000012 Bhp)
3: Put gas in it
4: Drive
5: repeat 3 and 4

Have fun with your car. Sounds like you'll have a smooth(er) ride when your done

Sounds like you will be getting your MCS for some great Spring driving. Out of the box, she is FUN. If the mod bug hits you, look out! It is addictive...

With the stiffer coilovers, my ride will be everything but smoother, and that is fine with me
