AMD One-Click Group Buy....any interest?

Spoke to Ram from AMD this morning on the possibility of a group buy for the One-Click.
Normal retail pricing is $449
If there are 10-19 people signed up the discount will be 7%. This brings the price to $417.57. Plus shipping.

An additional plus to this will be an upgrade discount. The normal pricing for an upgrade is $99. Anyone who is part of this group buy will get an upgrade for $50 + shipping. Let me clarify the upgrade. I don't, at this time, have a pulley. I buy the One-Click at this time. Later I get the pulley installed and a new map will take advantage of this. I can send my unit back and get the new mapping for $50 instead of the normal $99.

They will need information on your specific modifications and location (mainly for the constraint on CA 91 octane). In my opinion you cannot deliver too much information on this point.

Any questions please; post them here, PM me (not sure how usefull that is ) or contact Ram.

Been a while since we've seen a group buy here.

Well so far lots of questions Here's the people that have said they want to buy: (This post will be updated as things progress)

My first question for Ram.
Will this group buy be multinational?
Do our fair companions from across the pond get to buy in as well?

Thanks

I like the idea, but an 8hp gain for Ģ300 is not really worth it, the $50 (dollars)change over when you mod the car is a good deal, they wanted Ģ50 (yes thats pounds!) each time I wanted a remap.

The group buy applies only to US, Canada and Latin America at this time - I only have jurisdiction in this area.

Best wishes,

Ram

I've heard this a lot of times!

We're currently on version 27 of our Mini Code. If you're looking for a big power hike on a standard Mini with our software, with the exception of the Mini One, you won't find it.

What you WILL find is that the throttle response, pull, and feedback is way better than standard, and the 8BHP increase contributes to that.

The car pulls strongly all the way up to the limiter, not forgetting the elimination of the yo-yo effect and stumble in first gear.

We worked with Stratmosphere for quite a while developing the US cars, and our main brief was to eliminate the yo-yo, deliver better driveability and keep an "eye" on gas mileage. We've successfully delivered on all three!

Hope this helps!

Best wishes,

Ram

Is this an MCS only thing or is there some benefit for Cooper owners as well?

I think that this is an excellent buy. Especially as good as the one click sounds. If I didnt already have the Digi-Tec mapping, I'd sign up immediately. It's also good to see a vendor offer a group buy again. Kudos to AMD!

BTW, at today's conversion rate, that's only about Ģ230

Hi GMini,

Normally aspirated Cooper Owners with standard cars benefit from an 8BHP increase, plus the features listed above.

Best wishes,

Thanks for the compliment!

Get a OneCLick and you not only get AmD code for your car, but you can retain your Digi-tec mapping too! Then you can do a comparison!

If you want to keep your Digi-Tec mapping and be able to switch back to standard code (Independent of AmD code) - we can help with that too!

Best wishes,

Ram

It would be nice to do the comparison, but I don't know if that would be worth the cost. Option 2 sounds tempting. Can you PM me the details?

Price wise it's pretty close to the $50 per HP that my MagnaFlow cost me. But less than a pulley for sure. Add 8 HP to a pulley and I'm hoping to touch 200HP.

AmD-Ram,

What is the average horsepower and torque figures for the chip that you have seen on MCS's with the pulley? I have not seen any torque figures either on this site or in the various magazine reviews such as EVO. I believe the hp ratings I have seen are 8hp. Is this true for an MCS with a pulley upgrade. Thanks.

With an AmD 15% (55mm) pulley and a OneClick with software to suit, you can see an increase of 35-40 BHP - not sure about the torque figure, but I think it was between 20 & 30lbs ft - please don't quote me on this, I'll have to double check with the guys in the UK.

Cost including pulley removal tool is $809 + Shipping and Handling, broken down as follows:

Pulley & Belt $135.00
OneClick $449.00
Pulley Tool ("No damage no destroy" technology means you can re-use the original pulley later if needed!) $225.00

This is the stage 1 Conversion

Best wishes,

Ram

Ram - I think dgszweda was asking what kind of additional gains can be expected for a one-click on MCS with 15% pulley's already installed.

You mean stock software and 15% pulley vs OneClick and 15% pulley?

Sorry guys - I'm a bit lost now... Let me know if this is what you mean?
