Offline | Monsta you did well to dig that test out, i was probbebly about 10 years old when that test was done, But never the less it gives a good guide for those people who are unsure to go for foam or cotton gauze, Unfortunatly ITG filters come pre oiled were as Pipercross filters come dry with a extra bottle of oil to oil youself, at this test I am sure the filter was tested untreated, Do you not have John Cooper signiture stripes?? ITG is not what they use??? James |

| Test thread infiltrator | Both those pictures are from the pipercross website so I don't know whose MINI's they are. It's easier to look at the benefits of cold air that look at the problems with hot air. Cold air is more dense (molecules vibrating less and so take up less space) than warm air. The denser the air, the more oxygen molecules you'll have in a certain amount of space. The more oxygen there is, the bigger the explosion in the cylinder meaning more downward force, thus more power. I've arranged a cold air feed for my induction kit which basically consists of a pipe pointing towards it from the original air intake. Dom |
