Offline | OK here's a quick report on my new pipercross induction kit. 1. Sounds cool 2. Sounds cool 3. Sounds cool 4. Wish I hadn't spent the extra on CD+Boost cos now I just drive down with the music off and the window open cos........it sounds cool. But seriously i'm not gonna try and bore anyone with figures cos I just don't know, but in my opinion the car is definitely faster than b4, not much, but definitely faster. It pulls better at lower revs and the acceleration in higher gears (4th, 5th) also seems better. Oh and it sounds cool. Regards, TC. DS/W 'S', Chilli, Sony CDX M630 Head unit |

| Test thread infiltrator | You won't really notice the difference until you've been driving it around for a while and then put the airbox back on. Or, although I didn't do a rolling road session before I put the induction kit on, I gained 1.5 bhp and 12 lb/ft of torque - it'd be interesting to compare it to what a pipercross one gives out... | Test thread infiltrator | I'll gladly take you up on that offer! Of course, if your pipercross filter makes it perform anything like my Green, I'll be mightly impressed!! ![]() Dom edited because I can't tell the difference between your and you're ![]() Last edited by Dom : May 20th, 2002 at 09:03 AM. |

Offline | Money well spent I just got mine today. I put it on. It took me more than 5 minutes, but not that much . I can _definitely_ feel it, in the form of torque. And the noise -- oh my goodness! The noise is incredible! Cruising around, and getting out of the neighborhood you hear nothing. Goose it though and it's like you've let loose a pack of demons. Good gosh this thing sounds soooo good. It sounds like you are going to suck the hood right in.Now if I can just get the cat-back then this thing is going to sound like it should! |

Offline | Oh yeah We installed the Pipercross filter on our red Cooper and the sound is great! No exhaust yet on that car. On our yellow car we have the cat back exhaust but no intake. We do have a Helix intake on the way to us and will install it and run dyno tests. Dying to do a chip upgrade too, but nobody in the States has one rolling yet as far as I know. Offline | Just had my Pipercross fitted today, and I am so happy with it. When you put your foot down it sounds like it is trying to suck the bonnet in, but if you want to just drive slowly you would never know its under there. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If she's not smoking she broken! |
