Whalen question

Hi all,
I've just ordered my Whalen shift knob, and am very excited! I did a search, but nothing showed up. Everyone says that the Whalen sits lower than the stock knob, but I've seen some pictures, and it actually sits hight than the stocker, thus making the shifts longer?
Isn't it supposed to make them shorter?

On the MINI I think it's marginally higher, but it's the weight and "feel" that make it worthwile.

If I remember right it's like 3/8ths of an inch.
You notice that it's slightly smaller but I never noticed a height difference.

Worth every cent.

I ordered one first thing this morning before I could even rub the crusty boogers from my eyes. Don't know why I waited so long. Yesterday I got round to reading all the posts praising this product. If the fine ladies and gents on MINI2 think that highly of it, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I can't wait! While on my way to work today I was feeling the urge to pull off the orig equip knob right then. Real stuip eh?!

I wont comment on urges to pull off knobs on the way to work, it will only drag the conversation into the gutter.
