hi,
has anyone else had the email from 'cool new' about the turbo kit they are about to bring out for the one and cooper boosting it to around 200bhp!!

wow. is there anyone out there who has one fitted already? i know they're not available from cool new yet, but i thought that somewhere else might sell them that i don't know about? anyway if you have anything to add feel free.... that power seems unbeliveable! can't wait.

hmmm... I hear that the One/Cooper gearbox cannot handle much more than 145-150bhp.... and also the torque.... adding Turbo normally adds substantially to that too...

i dont know? thats what the email says 200 bhp. maybe they change the gearbox? who knows, well have to wait and see

I don't think they change the gearbox - if you're going down that route (considering it myself!) I'd get one of the new Getrag 5 speed boxes, upgrade pistons and crank, new brakes, and do it properly. Then it'll be one special MINI!!
