Offline | Intake qusetion Do you guys think it is more effective to have just a unversial intake filter attached to the stock intake tube or to just keep the stock air box with the stock air fiter? Right now I have the new intake filter on the car. It sure is loud now, but I was woundering since the intake does not connect to the hole that is located behind the grill will it suck in hot air rather than cold air? This is just for now until I get the intake from promini. Also will the car be any quicker? I also noticed that I have better reponse above 4,000 rpm. |

Offline | I don't have an intake yet. I haven't decided on the type. In the meantime I've dropped in a foam air filter element that might be worth a couple of horsepower. An intake might yield a couple more, but I'd do it for the sound more than anything. I'm leaning towards the RSpeed one right now, but Promini, Minimania, Monster, K&N and Pipercross are also considerations for my MC. |

Offline | I've recently installed the Promini intake from RSpeed. I would definitely recommend it as it makes the supercharger sound better. It makes the whine louder. I think the Promini one is supposed to be the loudest of the aftermarket intakes. I think you'd probably get about 5 bhp extra. Very easy to install as well and it looks the nuts! ![]() Dark Silver MCS with Aero Kit Mods - ProMini Air Intake, West Tuning 215bhp Conversion (coming Jan 29th 2005) Planned Mods - Milltek Exhaust |
