Smile cvt performance

anyone drive a CVT Cooper yet? I'd like to get some information on how it drives..pick up and how it performs with the A/C on. Any information would be helpful.
Will be ordering a CVT, Silkgreen/Black roof with all the packages I can get on it in a few weeks when by dealer opens. Thanks!

If you click above and do a Search titles only for the keyword cvt, you'll find several nice write-ups by Bill Sz. on this subject.

I have a cvt and i love it. It takes a slightly different technique but it's easy to get used to. I don't find that a/c significantly affects performance but I don't drive it to the limit. If you don't use it in steptronic mode there's a slight delay on kickdown before the power really kicks in. Some people have said you need to use the gears to find the power on the manual, whereas the cvt does this for you. Hope this helps
