| MINI2 Regular | BMW Sports Silencer I've ordered this item to be added to my new mini in November. Anyone have any comments on this and whether I should change my mind and take it off? I like the fact that warranty etc isn't affect but I really want it for the extra sound it will make. Any comments out there? Thanks |

Offline | hmmm.... well it's not cheap is it??!!!! i don't think too many dealers will be bothered if you change the exhaust in relation to the warranty. could be wrong, but mine aren't. it'll probably be a bit louder, but i think if you want it a lot louder, a more 'aftermarket' cat back would do the job. an induction kit will also make a HUGE difference to the sound of your car. i think you could get an aftermarket cat-back, a decent induction kit and two tanks of optimax for the price of the BMW silencer. i think you know which i'd go for! TVR Tuscan S. 400bhp, 0-60 3.8 0-100 8.08. 195mph. Silver/Black roof Cooper. Hillclimb MK2 Fiesta. 150bhp. Beats Subarus. Building a 'bike engine single seater. 320kg, 200bhp. around 600bhp per ton. 0-100 6 seconds. |

| MINI2 Master | I can testify to the effectiveness of the induction kit. It sounds fantastic across a wide range of engine speeds, both inside & outside the car. The advantage is that if driven lightly it makes no difference at all to the sound which is nice if on a long motorway drive or if you're just tired! The main reason I'd want a new exhaust for my Cooper would be to replace the naff looking 'stuck on' tailpipe finisher! |

Offline | i have it, it sounds a little bit louder on pull away gets louder once worn in but has no power gain as when fitted by bmw they read me a disclaimer saying the exhaust is for sound and looks only and has no effect on a power gain and this is the one they fit on the cooper works. great i thought there goes £550 quid, i should of got an after market one ![]() |
