United-Kingdom TLC Issues

Can anyone tell me if they have had their car serviced etc under TLC even though they have had modifications (filter, exhaust etc) ? and the dealer not mind.

I was given info directly by my local dealer to say that it would be fine, which they have later retracted and will not now stand by the TLC.

I am not happy as i have now installed cat back and filter and am complaining to Mini Customer Service.

If anyone can suggest any such dealer who it would be much appreciated.
I am in Oxford so closer the better.

If you would rather PM me so as not to name anyone directly that would be absolutely fine.

I am not a number. I am a free man.

My TLC has never been affected by my Induction kit. Mind you, its an 'official' Works kit but I'm not sure if thats why or not...

Today I had my first Oil Service at 10,000 miles....is that what you are talking about? Anyway, I mentioned that I have a milltek manifold and Cat fitted and the dealer winked at me and said "Not a problem!".

As the manifold and cat doesnt affect the service it appears, maybe he just likes me!!! ooooh eer!!

It's dependant on dealer. Some will honour TLC some won't. I believe they are quite within their rights to decline your TLC, but not your warranty (unless the modification caused the failure).

They are quite eithin their rights, but very short sighted to do this.... mine doesn't bat an eyelid to mods. Develop your relationship with them, or go somewhere else. Too many people waltz into their dealership, act like typical BMW owners, and then wonder why they get treated badly. Get to know the service guys, get the sales staff on board, and they'll treat you fine.

If they don't want your custom (many dealers are simply snowed under at the moment, so they possibly don't....), go find a dealer that does.
