Fuel Consumption after Alta CAI installation (s)

Hi there, I have recently installed an Alta intake and have noticed an increase in fuel consumption... has anyone else noticed this after installing. Petrol light is coming on at 210 miles from full, whereas before installation I was getting approx 230 - 240. I have only run 2 full tanks through since fitting it so im not jumping to conclusions at this stage. I dont think i have been driving the car any harder either since installing it.

Doesnt sound good Nick, I know my car was slightly better on fuel consumption after doing comparissons on runs etc, but that does sound down quite a bit, am sure somebody will be able to shed some light on this..

I have had worse fuel economy since installing mine, but like you have only down 2 tanks of fuel, so have put it down to the addiction to the s'charger whine I now have

I picked-up one mpg after installation of a 15% pulley and CAI; can't imagine the intake dragged it down, and the increased hp brought it back up.
