Offline | Intercooler Mods.... Hey Everyone, I've got a modding question that hopefully someone will have the answer too. My intercooler seal has gone(and I mean totally gone) and so the bonnet is no longer anywhere near sealing with the intercooler. This obvously makes the car get hotter much quicker and loosing me power by hot air going into the engine. Now instead of me just going down bmw and getting a new one... is there any good mods I can do that will improve airflow and seal over the intercooler perfectly. I've got a BBR bonnet air deflecter to go on aswell that will improve intercooler air pressure... but any new mods must be able to with stand the extra pressure. Well hopefully that made some sense and you get the idea of what im trying to do. Any ideas or input is very welcome... even if it is current products available on the market. Although I am trying to do this as cheap as possible. Thanks. |

Offline | I dont think there has been any problems yet with the water sprays. I liked the CO2 one! Well kool! spray CO2 when you press a button and instantly cools the intercooler down to below 0 degrees C.. good for 1/4 mile me thinks. not much good for the road... same for NOS. On the motorway in the pouring rain im sure loads of water gets driven into the bonnet scoop anyway. |
