| MINI2 Regular | Hear the supercharger! Now that's a great sound. Remove the whole air box and drop in a K&N RU1550 onto the throttle body. Got the idea from a NAM forum thread. Hope its OK to share across boards. I have only gone 30 or so miles on it. But the sound is great.... I can really here the supercharger. I can't say I feel a power increase but it sure sounds better. Gheck it out. This is the thread.http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...4&page=1&pp=25 Don't Panic |

Offline | It's a cool sound, isn't it? I am surprised that you cannot feel a power increase or throttle response increase? Everyone spoke so highly about it... ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Miniac, I did a search on hai and came up short? Ive been reading these pages for almost a year and have not seen the idea of mounting the air filter directly to the throttle body. I thought it was an original and creative idea. cooperSAZ, I was able to open it tonight on the way home from work. It feels like it rev's a little easier. Maybe a little more low end torque. But that is what I wanted to see anyway. I would say its quicker if I trusted my ears. But without any real #'s I don't want to claim any great hp gains. I thought I noticed a higher boost reading( 11 lbs versus 10 lbs), but again I have not had the boost gauge hooked up long enough to say for sure. For under $70.00 it was a great improvement.Don't Panic |

| MINIaholic | Hey, you guys can get a really good feel for the sound through the video clips I just made.... I actually made them to demonstrate my magnaflow cat back plus miltek header, but you can really hear the supercharger scream. Here is the link: http://www.motoringcentral.com/mov/Magna+miltek.zip Enjoy ![]() |

Offline | I've used my own method (which many others have done similar) which is to chop out the back section of the box with my Rogue CAI, so there's very little between the intake and the cabin now, and the sound is just awesome. Any system that takes out this part is a must if you REALLY enjoy the screaming charger (and lets face it, who doesn't?!). Nice work. |
