Apparently, Dinan's finally releasing their supercharger upgrade. I got a call from a Dinan shop today about it. It sounds like it the S1 package, with the throttle body and reduction pulley, and new software. He didn't have the price but thought that it would only be $500 or so more than the S1... When I checked, Dinan hadn't updated their website.

Too bad, he caught me late. I'm dropping my car off at Turner Motorsports for their Stage 1 upgrade and maybe their intake if I talk myself into on the drive over there. I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait! I'll post my impressions after I've had a full weekend in it.

Only $500? That would be great....I heard $1200 plus install.

Yeah, it honestly sounds way lower than what I expected too - but I think that the guy meant $500 on top of the S1 costs. Where you have all of their current go fast parts, it might be a relatively cheap upgrade, just pulley and software. I don't know for sure though. This comes from the same guy who turned off of getting the S1 in the first place by bad-mouthing a number of other tuners.

Bad mouthing competitors...now that's class! How's MINI with the Turner stuff on it?

Yeah, it's too bad. I like Dinan, but that guy doesn't represent them very well. Have you seen their new M5 supercharger upgrade? Somewhere in the ballpark of 600 HP or 500ft/lb. Nasty.

The TMS upgrade is awesome. It's just so much faster, I should have done it the day after I bought the car. It feels the way that car should. And the new 7500 rev limit is nice to have. I was used to 8000 in my GSR.
