Offline | New Exhaust needed; 13 days old & rearended!! Ordered my Pepper White with matching roof Cooper in October after I get my first real job out of school. Bye Bye '68 vw beetle!! Pick up the car January 8th and 13 days later, last Friday I am involved in a double rearender. I get hit then the guy behind me gets hit which hits me again. Long story short my father's auto body shop in Oakland, CA, Hanzel Auto Body Works Since 1918, will be fixing my new pocket rocket. The offending Lexus requires me to get a new exhaust and spare tire mounting bits as well as bumper parts. No structural pulling necessary thankfully. Just swap and paint. ANYWAYS.... long story short. Since I need a new exhaust are there any suggestions as to what to install in place of a stocker or just stick with the stock one and enjoy the quietness so as not to attract attention when applying the right foot heavily? Thanks for your input. And if in the unfortunate event of your mini being attacked and needing some repairs our shop will put it back to new. Our own painters is in due to a cement truck rearender. Ouch!! Happy flogging of your fine auto!!! |

Offline | Sorry to hear about the accident i got bumped in a car park and they drove off without leaving any details (I was in the store when it happened). I saw it as a perfect excuse and a sign that I should get the aero-kit. http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-drivetrain-tuning/81271-what-exhaust-have-you-fitted-your-cooper.html Check this thread for some nice aftermarket exhausts, with info on noise and looks. Personally I think its a great excuse to splash out like I will. |

Offline | Negative on the woman factor. It was a real estate guy so thankfully he has insurance but they are trying to play the "well the other car did damage so you have to go over and get $$ from him" angle. Well I have the documented hospital visit "I'll sue your buttockal if I don't get my $$ for the parts." All I want is my mini back. Audi A4 rental car with a turbo and cvt isnt all that fun. Less legroom than the mini and I'm 6'3"!!!! |
