Will a new ECU effect my OnBoardComputer

Hey new to the world of modifying cars. Right now I own a dodge neon and fixin the car takes all my modding money. Anywho. I am days away from ordering a cooper s. I would like the Premium package with the onboard computer. I would just like to know if I change my ECU if it would affect my Onboard computer in anyway.

thanks mates

Yes, average distance left and things like this. I was just wondering Because with most ecu upgrades you need to use a higher octane gas

That should all adjust and work OK, as OK as it does in the first place.

Yes the computers accuracy shouldn't change with an ECU...as long as you don't upgrade the injectors as well.

DS/W MCS all packages, 19% pulley, larger injectors, GIAC ECU, Madness intake, UUC exhaust, Milltek Header
