Offline | Unfortunately I could not participate in the group buy because they don't ship to Holland, but I found a good deal over here. I LOVE the sound and the looks. Inside the car it is noticable but no boom. Everything fitted perfectly and all was in the package, also some extra clips, I assume these are for the 2005 MCS. I took some pics while it was mounted: 1: It fits in your boot but you have to drive with the back open 2: The original exhaust with 'serial' mufflers 3: The first pipe fitted, much wider pipe 4: The two mufflers fitted, both parallel 5: The end result, great! Update: I finally got the footage I promised with the help of my 12 year old son. Enjoy! Turn up your volume! (8 Mb, for good playback may be first save to your disk) EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified Last edited by Berthil : Jun 8th, 2005 at 04:18 PM. Reason: Movie added |

Offline | I just drove (to nothing) and this time had some music on. The Milltek for the MCS is perfect. With normal driving there's no noise in the car, ít's all outside the car but sophisticated. There is beautiful noise when you want the noise, just put the pedal to the metal and it's there and loud enough. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | How cool is that? You have been talking/waiting for it for some time now! Glad you finally got it and got it installed! Is it not the coolest sound? I love mine! I can carry a conversation, listen to my music just fine. When I am feeling spunky, roll the windows down and listen to it roar! Awesome! Looks great! |

| 220 of your finest horses | Steady! Over here that could involve a trip before the beak and a 12 stretch in chokey! Seriously though, has anyone fitted a Miltek to a 2005 MCS? If so do you still get the loverly pops and snarls on over run, and if so are they more bassy? Cheers S ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Did mine two weeks ago! You still get the pops and snarls on over run! It is a little different in the exhaust note (obviously, and yes I think it is a little more bassey), but you do get it! |

Offline | S_and_M, Click on My MCS, go to the video section. I have 1 clip on the intake, 1 clip on the exhaust by itself (burble burble), and 3 clips on the car in motion. Let me know, I can record more if you like! |

Offline | Someone who PM-ed me will come and visit me next week with his MCS and he is living about 30km from me, he wants to hear the Milltek with his own ears That's mini2.com I've heard movies before I bought he Milltek, but the real thing sounds so much better, I think other owners will subscribe this. I just did 150/160 km/h for one hour on the freeway. NO boom or anything else to hear in the car, only when you engage the resume on the cruise control that lovely sound can be heard. Offline | Very true! Very true! My next project is getting my wife to drive the car while I am in the family truckster! Then have her blow by, I have no idea what this sounds like (in person) on the outside of the car. Not that I care, my concern was with inside the cabin and whether or not I could carry a conversation. Which is no problem! |

Offline | You really can't go wrong with the exhaust! I just put the car on the dyno today! I have a Rogue CAI and Milltek Catback! 157.72 hp At 12% loss: 179.2 bhp At 15% loss: 185.6 bhp From what I have read, this is typically the average range for drivetrain loss (12-15%). The high and low is only 6.4 bhp. So I imagine I am somewhere here inbetween! Although with torque, these were the results: 143.88 ft-lbs At 12% loss: 163.5 ft-lbs At 15% loss: 169.3 ft-lbs I believe the '05 is rated at 162 ft-lbs stock. So I was somewhat shocked as I expected a little bit more! But still, in the end, I am very pleased with the end results! Hope this helps everyone in their decision making process... |

Offline | Well, I have the Milltek about ten days now, and I'm loving it more every day. I have this small tunnel of about 30 meters in my town I have to go through once or twice a day. I stop the music, roll down the window, shift down and put the pedal to the metal. LOVE it. Not to loud, just a beautiful sound. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

| "Big Munch" | "has anyone fitted a Miltek to a 2005 MCS? If so do you still get the loverly pops and snarls on over run, and if so are they more bassy?" Yes and Yes, 2005 Sound, Fit and Look is awesome, couldn't be more happy with it !!! The JCW exhaust does NOT fit as nicely as this one, the mufflers on the JCW are TOO big, looking at it from behind __________________________________________________ __ RED and BLACK CHROMED S, Pully, Uni-chip, Miltek, Sway, TCE Brakes.... ![]() http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/19856/41492.jpg |

Offline | I agree, I drove a long while behind a Works MCS. The big mufflers very much stick out under the rear bumper, much more then the original (cola-cans) exhaust. They were so big I couldn't help looking at them all the time instead of the lovely MCS JCW The Milltek has small mufflers, you can't even see them. Hence the picture below, and I took that picture near to the ground. And I photoshopped the picture to make it lighter below the car. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |
