torque

hmm after haven driven other cars with more torque...merc 320, passat turbo, golf mk4 sport

ive come to conclude torque is your best friend

something dat the mini cooper should have....

Well, my TT had 360Nm, but the MCS is a better drive (especially tuned). Depends what you want from the car.

3.2ltr merc vs a 1.6 mini hmmmmm

as said above the S has a load more torque than the std coop

There is an old saying...."HP sells cars (and by the evidence on these boards, accessories and tuning packages) and torque wins motor races". Low end torque is basically what racing is about and it is the ONLY thing that one can actually measure.
Horse power is a calculation based on the measured torque of the motor.
