JCW Brake and pads???

Hey everybody... I really need to know if the pads included in the JCW brake upgrade kit are the same size as the standard pads... I'm thinking about getting the JCW brake kit, but only if I can use the new callipers with my current brake pads... (They produce very little dust)

I just need to know if they will fit or not.

Thanks!

The rear ones are, but not the fronts

the front calipers are different
the front pads are a different size to stock and different composite

the rear calipers are the same as stock (do not change)
the rear pads are changed for a different composite that bites better

Hope this helps to give you the answer you want

Yeah... That helps a lot... Thanks... I think I'm just gonna stick to stock because I love my brake pads... My wheels have never been cleaner...

Keeping in mind the pads are different on the JCW brakes, how is the brake dust with the JCW brakes? Same, better or worse than stock brakes/pads?

You're sleeping with your brakes? Now that's taking mini ownership to another level...
Are they good in bed?

Seriously though, let us know how they do--I'm ordering at the end of the month; I'm going to get the JCW package, and I'm thinking about white wheels again. Common sense hopefully will prevail and I'll get over the urge for them, but if the brake dust isn't an issue, that'll change things.

I have worked hard this weekend, and put 210 miles on the new brakes, so they are getting to be bed in properly now

Must say it is nice to know you can stomp on them and you can give your passengers whiplash

I'd have to disagree. I have noticed that the dust on the front is now more comparable to the stock rears. I'd bet that the dust has gone down by at least 40% on the front. If you didn't clean the wheels after the bed-in, the dust is horrible, I thought about going back to stock after my bed-in, but then cleaned the wheels and took a couple of long trips...dusting is down quite a bit

i've just driven a loan stock mcs...good grief there is a world of difference under heavy braking...the JCW's just have so much more stopping power and bite...i'm going to have to take it easy with the loaner in the meantime.
