United-Kingdom 63 mm TOB pics + exhaust

hi all

just installed M7 larger T.O.B.

took around 30 mins.to install.also used a k+n breather , as there was a lot of oil in the intake directly under the throttle housing.

just a few pics to show the differance.

also had an exhaust made ,as you can see ,there is no flange to split the gasses.just a very neat 70 degree cut on each, then TIG welded.

cheers

clinton

Clinton,

Nice one mate

Where did you get the exhaust made, and does it drone much on the motorway? I know that mine took some time to 'bed in,' but I can tell you now that the tone will improve with more mileage.

Did you also swap to a lighter battery or just relocate the stock item?

Cheers,

Henry

hi Henry

went to LONGLIFE i had 2 differant systems made .first was too loud. like the QUICKSILVER.just did it for the weight.

then just added another box.this only added about another 3 kgs.

nice and quiet. stealth mode is better i think
also aded a k+n breather filter to stop oil going into the intake .

yeeeeeehaaaaaaa

Clinton,

Looks like they did a better job on your exhaust than on mine, but I guess that they have a bit more experience with making MCS exhausts now (mine was done 14 months ago now).

Your project looks like it's coming together very nicely. You are making me jealous because I still haven't got access to my car yet and there is you getting a massive head start

Did you notice the increase in torque over the standard exhaust? I was pretty shocked by how much low-range torque was freed up when my exhaust went on (verified by an increase of 8lb/ft on the dyno on a different day though).

Cheers,

Henry

That is soon to change soon Can't wait to get my mitts on my car again!

I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the latest additions to your car. It's fun to add a little and savour the difference isn't it?!

All the best,

Henry

to whoever sent me an e-mail. (sorry i deleted your e-mail before getting your name )

by adding a new exhaust and larger throttle housing, you might not l need a remap but i am sure my 210 map is ok for now.just awaiting intercooler and GT head with cam.only then am i going for another remap.

what mods do you have ?

lotsa guys who have a 15% pully , dont have a remap.the std ECU seems to cope pretty well. BUT if you add more mods i would certainly have it mapped.

hope that answers your question.
