Australia PILO Ignition upgrade with 98 octane fuel

Hi guys,

I posted a thread regarding upgrading my complete ignition system to PILO (coil packs, spark plugs and the wires). What I'm now concerning about is the combination of the upgrade the fuel I;m using. Here, in Australia, I'm using Shell Optimax (which, I think, has 98 octane). Will this have any negative effect on the engine?

please forgive me if this question sounds stupid. I'm not a technically savvy person.

I'd appreciate your suggestions and opinions.

No.
All the kit will do is slightly improve spark quality. That will make no difference as far as what fuel you use.

one quck question

As you know, PILO ignition upgrade includes U-tipped spark plugs (by Accel, if I'm not mistaken). Are they better than NGK Iridium? Do you reckon I should get the Iridium instead?

My personal opinion would be to get the Iridiums. They are quite a bit more expensive though.

Either plug is OK and so is the standard one. You can spend a lot on plugs and you will not see any difference, on the street anyway.......
