my mini keeps leaking

Hi all, i seem to be having a problem but its a bit confusing. Whenever i leave my mini it seems to leak water down from the front spoiler on the passenger side. I noticed it a few days ago and although its booked in BMW this saturday its been in before and they said it wasn't leaking. The car was hot and the coolant was hot too but the water dripping was cold, any ideas so i can point them in the right direction?

Are you certain that this isn't just water draining from the air con?

Tigger.

I agree with Tigger - I think it's just water draining from the aircon. Happens all the time.

although i would agree with the air con, i dont run it as it decreases my available horsepower grrrr :-) so will it still leak anyway? my coolant level seems to go down too periodically.

Coolant level in the tank will vary with engine temp. Make sure you always check it cold (as in dead cold) and do not compare hot to cold. If your engine cooling is losing fluids it cannot possibly come out cold. What you have is air conditioning condensation water and perhaps you shoudl triple make sure your system is off.

My dealer advised me to let the airco always on (automatic), and in the instruction manual of mini it's said this kind of leaking is normal

I have an 05 MCC and it was leaking fluid. It turned out to be a faulty power steering pump which is now on order.
