Alta CAI with a Strut Brace??? Help!

Okay... Can you use the Alta intake with an engine compartment Strut Brace??? The Alta should seal into the bonnet, right? If so, can you cut holes in the Alta's housing to allow the strut brace to cross over or is the Alta filter too big anyways?

I really like my strut brace and don't want to get rid of it unless I absolutely have to...

(My Alta intake is on the way...)
