| MINI Mover | Technical Manuals Hi all, I was just wondering if anybody knows if there are any techinical manuals for the cooper s out? I don't know how many are familiar with fords system but they use TIS CD's and you can buy these on ebay or just download them and they show you how to take the whole car apart sort of an advanced haynes manual. Is anything available for the mini like this? If not does anyone know when the haynes manual will be out? I tried halfords but they said it wasn;t out but im sure I saw one I have a Jan 05 Cooper S but im guessing everything is pretty much the same or similar at least to the earlier builds.Any info would be great. Thanks Jamie |

| MINI2 Senior | The best manual out there for the MINI is probably the Bentley manual...it helped heaps when I was putting my car back together anyway! You can get it here: Bentley Manual As far I as I know, the Haynes just shows you how to do basic maintenance and the car plans, but the Bentley walks you through any and every procedure you could want on the MINI. Offline | Do the Haynes manuals stink less in the UK? I've never found one that's been particularly useful for any of my cars. For my wife's car, the entire heating section consists of one page that says this: "For cars equipped with air conditioning, improper repair or maintenance may cause the release of Freon, which will cause the end of the universe or possibly kill you dead, so we won't tell you how to replace the fan or the heater core, which are just sufficiently different from those installed in cars without air consitioning, that your entire car will collapse into its component parts if you try and fix it yourself. Ha, ha, sucker." ... or something like that The last time that air conditioning system had freon in it was back when venting it into the air was legal, for goodness sake. I'm going to wait until the Bentley comes out with the 2005s. They'll probably also release it on CD, if they follow their pattern with VW products. -Eric |

Offline | Jamie, When you receive your CD's from Ebay can you post some feedback on them ? I'm also thinking of getting them and it'd be nice to hear someone elses opinion before I doing so. Cheers. |
