As I look at the e-mails I'm getting. A few guys of the group are doubting of going to the IMM in Italy.
I don't mention names, because I get those messages in private.

Apparentely they're getting e-mails of people with just 1 idea.
"Get that new mini trashed"

I find this important enough to throw this within the group.
What do you think? Cancel everything towards IMM?

I have heard such rumours at every UK event I've been to (mini & MINI combined) and nothing really has happened.

I don't know if there's anything 'serious' planned for IMM, but usually it's just all talk, and when people see that MINI owners are just human too, they tend to be quiet.

To be honest I'm not that bothered about the event itself, but getting there and getting back will be a true adventure and I fully intend to go.

I hope you guys still go as it would be good for us to meet.

Reckon those guys sayin they'll do something to our cars are full of poo, and are just tryin to wind us up.

I have replied to a PM sent to me by one of the "concerned" individual.

I strongly believe the saying "together is strength"

We had a bit of verbal etc at Mini In The Park (did not help with Paul M mentioning the advantages of the new MINI over Minis during a live broadcast

), but by and large, nothing serious.

Besides, quicksilver will not let us off lightly

I believe we should post something in the IMM board about the hassle we are getting (I have received a not too pleasant e-mail too)

May be as a group under the name of MINI2ers etc. (hint hint Paul)

So I am definitely coming!!!

At the IMM in 2002 Two friends from us were there with the MINI....The had NO Problems. The only thing wat was happening that a few people did there thumbs down.
I think thats no problem

I posted my feeling to dcfkan,QuickSilver and Morty, because I wasn't sure it was necessary on the Forum.

Our Club has been under pressure by groups of people from different MiniForums. It results that this is not the first time, but the difference is in the means used to express an opinion by using intolerant expressions(and intolerant means)!

Our mailing system, Chat server have been hiJack by those men, so that we had to react by closing a part of the website.

The message is simple:No connection possible between Mini and MINI! , The first one on the top of the world, the second one in the trashcan!

We know some of them are going to the IMM, it represents maybe less than 1%, but enough for me to make provocations!

Of Course, we will not be "under attack" physically, but "our Car is our Soul"(French expression), and nobody will never touch my soul!

So, as I mentionned, we'd really like to go, we haven't changed our mind... If there are problems, we'll get the opportunity to visit the area, Venisia or Florence are not so far...
