| Premier League | Coming to Germany... Hi guys, My girlfriend + I are coming to Germany next week for a few weeks for the World Cup! Got tickets to a couple of games (in Köln and Frankfurt). We're staying near Baden Baden for a week and then moving down to Lake Bodensee for another week. As we've not been to Germany before I was wondering if anyone could recommend a few non-football related things we could do, places to visit etc. I've heard there are some excellent roads in Schwarzwald which I'm looking forward to driving the MINI along! Can't wait to get there now!! Many thanks Kev ![]() |

Offline | You are not too far from the Nurburgring then! Go for it ![]() Otherwise the Moesel area and Eiffel area are very nice to drive, or a sidestep to the Ardennes in Luxembourgh. I have a 2 day tour/rally through all of them this weekend with 400 other equippes, but I have been to all of these places before, mostly with a motorbike. EB/W R53 MCS Highly Modified |

Offline | Lake Bodensee Lindau, the island, lovely place Friedrichshafen, the zepperlin museum if interested in that sort of thing, zepps built on the lake. Dornier flying boats also used to be made and flown from the lake. Factory still in town I think. Meersburg, wine, beer and town, good restaurants etc Birnau, church is good. Uberlingen, lovely town, German holiday resort and good restaurants lake front etc, oh and good Irish pubs(2). and the beer .The Rhine falls but cannot remember the name of the town. Lake Bodensee is the start of the Rhine from what I remember. Liechtenstein is not far away, some of the mountain roads are great. Return, cut across to Freiburg up the autobahn(no speed limit ) to Offenburg, across to France and Strasbourg(I had the car broken into here). If feeling brave do cross country to Nancy, Champagne region, Reims etc good drive. Boring stuff over so have a good holiday .NINE GOLD AND TWO SILVER May / June 2008 = Stelvio, Mortirolo, Zoncalon and Giro TT. |
