We're probably leaving at 8:30 north of Antwerp and set of to Renova for a quick coffee and continue our route.

I'm thinking safety in numbers, so tucked into the middle of the Renovo convoy may be the best way to get to Zandvoort without attracting too much attention.....what do you think?

For those who want to keep there driver-license and are visiting MINI United, there is a warning:

During June 20th until June 27th the police has announced speedtraps on the roads N201, N203, N205, "Zeeweg Overeem", and also on "accident-locations". Speedtraps can be done with radar or lasergun.

Also extra alcohol-checks will be held during the evening/night in the whole region of Kennemerland (That is around Zandvoort/ Haarlem/IJmuiden)

On Saterday June 23, there will also be a speedtrap on the highway A4 around Haarlemmermeer.

Keep in mind that if your speed is over 7km/h too fast, it certainly means a penalty.
If you're caught over 30km/h (on highways over 50km/h) too fast, it will mean, you have to walk home [(temporary) loss of drivers license....]

I have arrive today 9pm in Zandvoort. I have found a hotel so I won't be in the camp. If anybody see the boys (two) with t-shirt which has the same inscription on the back (KAVS MOTORSPORT) that is me.
So tug me at sleeve.

So here is my first post after the event. A lot of fun, fortunately the wheather wasn't bad on Friday and Saterday.

On Friday we rode with the Breda Renova convoy. They had turned two pepper-white MINI's into police vehicles by placing life-like police stickers and a blue light on top.
However the real police couldn't really appreciate their new competitor, as they do not allow this. When we passed Rotterdam (I was at the back of the convoy with one of the fake cop car behind me), a real police Volvo pulled them over and they were fined and forced to take off all the police stickers.

Fortunately the other "police" Mini - that was ahead of the convoy - was made it to Zandvoort all right. The four beautiful women dressed as police officers must be the most photographed persons all weekend.

Just got back home too... tough journey back home because I didn't catch much sleep last night.
I got to bed around 5:15 - 5:30 and had to get up at 8 for the meeting with club responsibles.
Well nobody was really looking good though

Today was unfortunately the baddest day with continuous rain, while we only had sunshine the other 2 days...

Was great to meet a lot of new people or put a face on a nickname... and of course to see my friends back too. Sorry that I didn't have a lot of time but I had to shoot pictures for a youth mag too.
Took about 1500 pictures so I'll have a browse and select the best!!

What I already can say is that this was a great event !! Top job MINI.
They really put in an extra effort to make it great.

Really great to finally meet you face to face, Morty - I was not dissappointed

Like you, now recovering, and will catch up on sleep tonight. A real load of fun, great to meet some more of the MINI2 crowd, and also to see some of the old faces once more.

Already looking forwards to the next one - any bets where it might be held?
