I propose a meeting in Spain, every day we are more owners and we don't have a meeting yet.

Mini drivers, reply this thread with your opinion and suggestions about where can make it.

Tienen ya un club del nuevo MINI en España? (sorry about the Spanish folks!)

I am looking for people to help me grow my site to include news and happenings in Spain. So far, it only covers Mexico and will soon cover more Spanish speaking countries in Latin America.

It's a matter of liking what you're doing and making friends that enjoy the same things. Tell me what your ideas are and let's put our hands on it! Nevertheless, I remind you that the new Mini appeared only a year ago and Internet is a tool not everybody has access to (actually, very few people in comparison to other countries)

How are the Spain MINI groups doing?

I am going to be in Madrid around the 1st week of September and would love to meet some MINI owners or attend a rally, etc...... if something is going on during that time. Major problem is I do not speak Spanish. Have been to the website but unable to translate.

Any responses about your MINIs, country, city, would be welcome.

You will go only to Madrid?
Is a great rally races area, but I live in Barcelona and I can't help you there.
In Madird you can buy any cars magazine to found rallies.
Don't are more mini enthusiasts in Spain, here is a car for the city (a bit expensive), and I can't find any in "my" mountain roads.
Some forum member from Madrid can show you the city, sure!

i was down in murcia for the week on holiday. i only saw one MINI the whole time i was there. that one was a GB plate too... seems everyone drove fiats...

The last months, the number of Minis are going up in Barcelona.
But, who drive it?
Posh girls... my great-grandfather...etc...all driving into the city.
I think that nobody enjoy the mini's driving experince.
Sad people...

Hey guys,

I am still here and appreciate your responses. Still in the planning stage for this trip. Will be flying into Madrid for a week at Gregos. Before and after this week is open for travel. Trying to figure out the best plans for taking advantage of seeing your country while there. Obviously a MINI event would be the "best".

Barcelona should be seen. My concern is the distance.....4 hours by car?

Sorry about the link, it worked for me when I sent this email. Did a search and found the following:

Go to START. Go to TEST DRIVE APPLICATION.

Hopefully this will work. If not, let me know and I will attempt another URL.

Basically the race is in Catalan metropolis from May 28 - 31. It includes full days of fun and is also a BMW promotion for the cabrio. I would think the Spain dealer may know about this event.
