Offline | Hmm, well, I'm not familiar with the ones in Dingle and Galway, (although the one in Galway sounds familiar) Now about Dromoland, the place looks and is really impressive. I think that my parents told me that friends of theirs stayed there, and the room they got was so small they had to leave their luggage in the car! (but, I'm not really sure about that, I cant imagine all the rooms there are like that, I would love to stay there sometime) In County Clare, I would also HIGHLY recomend Sheedys in Lisdoonvarna. They have an excellent restaurant as well. Sheedys Or, also in Clare Ballinalacken Castle I've always wanted to stay there. Or, Gregans Castle in Ballyvaughan, Co Clare is also highly recommended. We really also enjoyed staying in the B&Bs. Very friendly, comfortable, and often more convenient. There are so many of them. I really researched that alot before our last trip. We stayed in Clare a lot on our last trip. My best friend married a guy from Fanore, Co. Clare, and they were married in Lisdoonvarna 4 years ago. What an amazing wedding that was. they had 65 people from the US alone for the wedding. We met up with them on our last trip to Ireland, they were there visiting his family, and we got a fantastic tour around Clare, Kerry and Cork with them. I looked up Emlagh House, and it looks amazing! It looks like youre wife is doing a great job. Matt 02 Cooper Silk Green/white roof. |

Offline | Ahhhh!! Aiden,I would love to do the Mizen to Malin MINI/Mini run. I remember you mentioning it in a thread a while back, and I mentioned how great it would be to rent a MINI and join the run. What a great way to see Ireland! That would really be my dream vacation!! 02 Cooper Silk Green/white roof. |

Offline | Also, my friend Michael thinks that, if there is such a thing as a dry period in Ireland, then he feels that May is a pretty good month to go. 02 Cooper Silk Green/white roof. |

Offline | I've always been pretty lucky with the weather(knock wood) on my trips to Ireland. On our last trip, end of may - beg. june, we had a few days here and there of rain. But it was still a great trip. Michaels sister went a month after we did, and she had ALL rain! So, you never know. I wish you the absolute best weather! I am very sad now and I must go home now for the evening, through the 8 inches of snow that just fell today! (luckily I'm driving my Jeep today) take care, and talk to you later. 02 Cooper Silk Green/white roof. |
