Martin i'll try and get some decent tyres for the wet if thats gonna be the case as you were right with the grip of the current in the wet. Tested the damp weather we had last week and CoopRaNite was not a very happy bunny.

Just be careful out there is all I say

TBH as it's October and the chance of rain is highly probable I'm shying away from this as although I like driving in the wet, driving in the wet around the Ring just isn't for me

IMO the corners are just too fast for the MINI in the dry, so in the wet I can forsee even bigger problems.

well it's a CORSO.. so no need for speed.. it's a smooth ride and a lot of honking and waving to all the fans that will be there

as it is the last race of the year ALOT of fans will be there..

the tempo will be kept so that even virgins can follow us around... and then there will be some hanging out and watching the race etc ...

If the 24h-race isnt running, traudl said she would be able to convince the guys to get it out again and run the 4 hour race with it..

now if you want a tourist-day meeting with on track action of yourselves.... the "club-nouvelle-mini" from belgium and france said they will come anyway on july 26th and get on track action on sunday and monday..

anyway: be sure that I will try to organize a good MINI-track weekeend for next year.. and announce it this winter when I know about the opening times

now for the enthousiasts that want to take it further:

we just did a ring-special training with Traudl, Jörg van Ommen and Sascha Maaßen... i guess the names speak for themselves.. it was a 2 day training with the possibility to acquire the international c-licence.. and a whole day on the ring with 500 kilometers of self-driving.. no tourists, no bikes... and a buttload of information, idealline, fight-line etc etc.. we even took the time to get out of the cars and "read" the track

it was truely amazing ... and very helpfull as I cut 20 secs off my time after a couple of laps..

Traudl is thinking of making such a day in september for MINI ONLY

Would someone be interested in such a thing? We should be able to translate everything in the appropriate language.

it was a VERY proffessional event organized by the Nürburgring motorsport academy.. and traudl does this kind of trainings for 4/5 Porsche dealers, Wiesmann and US, the mini-drivers .

Would love to do a MINI only training day at the Ring,however I don't think I can make it over in September and October, just too much to do.

Which one to go for?

I need more track time, but I love the idea of a MINI corso.
