Italian Help, with identitifying location.

Hi all!

It's rare to see any kind of vehicle around here that's from anywhere else other than Britain, let alone it being a MINI and Italian. I remember seeing a Porsche Boxster from California once, don't know where it went or what happened to that.

Can anyone help with the Italian region the MINI Cooper came from...I know we are told once and again that we shouldn't "advertise" number plates but I think this is relavent to finding out where this rareity came from. Thanks in advanced.

There is no way to identify which area the MINI came from with the new style Italian plates.
You can with the old ones when the first 2 letters gave the area it was from i.e. MI - Milan,
BO - Bologna.

Hope this helps!!

Not quite true. The city [province?] code is still on the new-style plate, in the blue section on the right hand side of the plate. Unfortunately, the picture's resolution does not allow a good look at the whole plate.

Thanks for your help and I appreciate your time also.

Unfortunately I can't remember the initials in the blue patch on the far right.
