Hi, A new mini cooper owner in Dublin...just wondering if there were any new events coming up?

Hello and welcome to MINI2 !

Donegal here! The big event on the Irish MINI/Mini calendar is the Mizen to Malin Run each may, in aid of Crumlin hospital. A number of UK MINI2ers are coming over for this in 2004.

ONED and myself have been trying for a while to organise a few runs over here, so maybe now that more people are appearing on here, we might be able to put an informal run together soon.

Good to see you on hree, and its traditional to post piccies of your car !

Anything else you would like to know, just ask !

Actually, some of the events in the UK are pretty large scale, and impressive, with over 1000 cars involved at times, I have been over to a few, maybe you might like to hop on a ferry or plane and try the Chilterns Run in February as a taster !

Hi again...I was actually in Kerry over the bank holidays there and think I spotted some kind of mini rally passing through Ballybunion...there were a mixture of different minis and about 10 cars in total...anyone know anything about this society?

I'd imagine that was the Irish Minis Owners Club, same club who organise M t M every year........see this link for local events. http://www.irishminis.ie/

Mostly South of the country based I think.

I'll be posting a thread soon for something say, in the Northern half of the country, for new MINIs, I hope we might be able to get a half dozen cars or so for a run sometime perhaps. Keep an eye out for it, OK?
