Whan looking at a map of Europe Switzerland stands out like a beacon from the nations that have joined or are about to join the EU.

What, briefly, are some of the reasons why the country has chosen this path?

My guess, and it is just a guess, is that it is all about the bankers of Zurich and their influence.

If I had all that money, I would want to stay neutral. Wouldn't you?

Staying neutral during the wars hasn't done them any harm.
