Offline | We went to the ring this summer...very unlucky trip. Both the Minis crashed, the higly modded MCS of my friend by itself, mine for a crazy biker thar arrived at the adenauer forst on full throttle and of course couldn't brake in time. I took all the "safety protection" i could, never on the limit, always watching behind me for GT3 and R1 on the straight at 100 kph more than me, I even waited to have few traffic but it wasn't enough. Sure it's a wonderful place but is really dangeorus. I think I made a 11' with my stock MC with really bad tire, maybe even more I'm not sure. My friend did a 9"29 with traffic and on his 4th lap..LOL we thought it was 8'29" in the beginning because of my watch with bad e misunderstandable signs! I think his car can go under 9' without problems, it has an almost 210 hp engine, suspensions, 17" lighter wheels sith PZERO Asimmetrico, front tarox G88 discs with Ferodo Racing pads and Zimmerman rear discs with ferodo pads too. Almost 50 kg lighter thanks to exhaust and Sparco Roadster seats. |

| www.minicoopers.org | crashing sucks.. and believe me.. it almost happend to me more than once.. 8:29 would be a dream come true .. 9:29 is a pretty nice time on thwe fourth lap, but you really need some more experience to pull this off on a tourist day..10 of us are going next WE to compete in the german club sport GLP challenge.. so far my mini has over 500 laps on the ring ( since last week) |

Offline | twas easy really - just flirted with the girls in the taxi office and got them to ask anyone with only 2 in their group to let us join them - they have a list of names and write 3, 2, 2+1 at the side so u can pick who to go with ... the 3 of us went seperately but that was fine |

| 220 of your finest horses | Be a bit cold Generally it is closed to the public until April as it is freezing up in the mountains where it is and it gets covered in snow. There's a great vid of a 911 drifting around the track on 6 inches of white stuff - but I can't find it at the mo S ![]() ![]() |

Offline | thanks for that link. i've been watching the web cam every day since you posted it. I notice the snow has finally melted off the roof - that's got to be a good sign yesterday it was 39c here. then a cold change came through overnight, and today was much cooler - only about 27. This time next week i'll be in Germany, and it'll be what? 1, 2, degrees? It's gunna be a big shock i think. I actaully can't wait, cause i love Germany, but why am I going in February? I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole? ![]() If you have any information, any information at all, please contact me as I'm writing an encyclopaedia. |

Offline | If the Ring is still snowed in this weekend there is another choice. Hockenheimring will be open this sunday if I have translated german correctly. Could someone double check what I was looking at? Of course if the Ring isn't covered in snow I will be there too. Look for a dirty MCSC cool blue. Sorry, I can't post the link, apparently I don't post enough. |

Offline | Yes, it is early in the year for me also. I looked at the weather for this weekend and it doesn't look good. Anyone want to get together just for talking. I don't think there will be any track time this weekend in germany. |

Offline | Heads up, it is getting nicer by the day here in Germany. The track was open this weekend for Tourist runs, still snow on a lot of the surrounding areas but the track was clear and mostly dry. Actually, the track is open right now too. To bad I had to work today. |
