Online | PIAA LED side lights (white) Has anyone got a picture of these fitted to a MINI? The best I can do so far is this image of induct's Mk4 Golf. To me they look much better than all the other LEDs I have seen and tried, but pictures aren't always right when it comes to lighting. So if anyone has these in a MINI I would love to see a pic please. Thanks to induct this is where they are available from, they are a bit exxy: http://www.a-pp.com/shop/piaa_bulbs1.htm ![]() Cheers Liam |

| MINI2 Regular | I´ve bought some 5 or 6 LED side lights from the UK. I´ll try to find out where i bought them. Bright as hell and only 9 pounds or so... They do flikker a bit when you start the car with the lights off. Also they glow dimmed for an hour or so after parking the car (witch looks kind of cool to me ).When you look from a couple of metres away are a bit blueish compared to the xenon but when you look from 20 or more metres away, it´s perfect! Edit: FOUND IT, take a look at http://www.ultraleds.com Cheers, Peter Jetblack, OMP upper and lower strutbrace, Milltek catback and manifold, softwaretuning, LED parking lights. 215hp/266Nm, 18" Works R95, Aerokit with smoked sidemarkers |

Online | Thanks Peter. I haven't tried any products from this site yet, I just had a quick look and it looks like there's some good options there for me to try and match my side lights to my xenons. Do you have any pics taken at night with your LEDs in? |

Online | I don't necessarily want brighter, I just want a light the disperses well through the outer lens that matches my xenons in colour. You wouldn't think that was too much to ask. ![]() Below are some pics of some LEDs that both I and Mr Plod have rejected. I rejected them because I don't like how clear the light is behind the outer plastic lens. I hope I'm explaining this okay, but rather than a small, sharply focused, light, I'd prefer it to be more like the OEM bulbs where you can't actually make out the shape of the globe behind the lens. Then, Mr Plod rejected them because he thought they were too blue. I have to admit that they were more blue than the xenons, so something else I wasn't happy with. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | The light a of LED comes out almost straight forward (max 30 degrees angle IIRC) opposed to a normal bulb witch gives of light in all directions. Because of this you will always `see` where the LEDs are positioned behind the lens. You could email RASE Creation (look at my previous posts in this thread) and ask Brain to make you a configuration with 4 LEDs witch are pointed to the left/right/bottom/top so the light from the LEDs reflects and dispurse better. I think the LEDs will always be a little blueish from closeby compared to the xenon. Don´t ask me why... I totally forgot the take some piccies of our MCSC last night! I´ll post them tomorrowmorning. I´m afraid my technical english vocabulairy isn´t all that, but i hope you know what i mean. Online | It has been brought to my attention that there is an official OEM LED sidelight option available. One of the Aussie MINI2ers has seen this in an accessories brochure. I'll try and get my eyes on said brochure on the weekend. Until then, can anyone shed any light on this. ![]() |
