Offline | I went to view the car I'm after today... ...and one thing surprised me. It's a Mini Cooper, 2004 in Indigo Blue. The wheels (5 stars) looked a sort of grey colour. Is this an option when you're buying new? They didn't appear to be a natural alloy finish. Is it likely that the previous owner had them painted in the short time they had the car or is it/was it an option when buying new? For what it's worth I prefer the natural silver alloy colour and I'm wondering if this small thing has put me off buying it! Is there any way BMW could remove any paint from the wheels? Any help greatly appreciated! ![]() |

| Man in the know! | hi, and welcome to MINI2, for the record...its Indi Blue....not indigo ![]() the only factory options for wheels are silver or white on that wheel. so anything else has been done by the previous owner. if they have been sprayed, you can get them either dipped or shot blasted. or you could get some 18" JCW wheels to replace them... ![]() S |

Offline | Hi Minty, Apologies for the colour naming error, that would've irritated me! The more I think about it the more I think they were in fact just normal silver. I dunno, I was just so desperate for eveything to be as I wanted that I think I was desperately looking for little things to pick fault. Anyway, I wouldn't swap the 5 stars for anything! I actually had the option of 17s but I just love the 5 stars more than any other wheel. ![]() |

Offline | Indi Blue is indeed the colour of choice. The car I'm getting doesn't look a whole lot different to yours from the looks of it. In about 2 weeks or so it'll be mine. And everything will be swell. |
