Don't bother with the Blue after market xenon's for your fog lights Ben - i fitted some and there's hardly any difference in colour as the spots soooo small - and they don't last very long and cost about £17 per bulb.

Just installed the 6000k bulbs I bought from HIDS4u , put one in the one side and left the other side standard... switched the headlights on and I can hardly tell the difference, really dissapointing when they cost £70...

going to send them back and maybe get some 8000k ones off ebay?

Crikey, that is bad, I could straight away tell the difference with mine...
Well I have just ordered some 6000k bulbs off ebay, they were for £40, I was going to wait until they come and post a pic up here, the 8000k's are very blue, you might get pulled for them, also the visibilty is not as good...

Just had another look this morning when it was dark and you can tell the difference, there is a hint of blue and the yellow tints has been totally removed

Just want to get some whiter sidelight bulbs to match now as the halos are pretty blue.

Yeah, also when you are driving the light throw back off signs and white lines is better, I think 6k is best compromise for a more bluey light.
I'm looking around for some sidelights too at the moment as mine are too blue (looks too chavvy)
The merchant I bought the D2s bulbs off also does the led sidelights bulbs which throws more light off all around the bulb, so may get a pair of them.

My order is going to be delayed now due to this stupid Postal strike

Not 100% certain but it appears that the R56 Xenon HID lamps are D1S with integral igniter. Only one lamp is used per side. A mechanical shutter is used to limit light output when using the low beams. When switching to high beams the shutter opens allowing full output.

The dealer will be able to tell you what type of bulbs are needed for the R57 Bi Xenons.
The main 2 types of bulb are D2r and D2s, I think you may need the D2s type of bulb, if you ask the dealer, he will be able to tell you.
