Online | Pseudo mesh on Aero Kit rear bumper Bit peeved after being told that the 'mesh' on the rear bumper on my Aero Kit is a sticker. I mean, £1300 for an Aero Kit and the 'mesh' on the back is a bloody sticker! Anyways, has anyone had this and removed it (the sticker, not the bumper)? I want the rear bumper to match the front mesh at the front (black) and was planning to spray the 'mesh' black - lucky another S owner pointed that out to me. BMW really know how to take the p sometimes ![]() Lies need defending all the time. The truth defends itself. |

Offline | This really cheapens the aero kit for me, it looks good from a distance, but a sticker you'd expect on a scale model, not the real thing. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Yeah, I remember not being able to believe it when I first found out.. why on an OEM bodykit would a manufacturer go from mesh (Coop S bumper) to sicker... |

| Eat my dust. | The first time I ever saw an Aero kitted MINI, the first thing I did was poke the "mesh" in the rear bumper... I couldn't believe it was a sticker! I do know a few people who've ordered their kit WITHOUT the stickers... not sure how easy they are to remove though, once they've been stuck on? |

Online | It does look nice but I wanted a meaner look and for it to match the front ie black - maybe i'll ask my dealer if they know what to do about it ![]() Lies need defending all the time. The truth defends itself. |

| "Buying and selling" | I have had the stickers stuck on mine, i removed them as i think it looks better without them. The hardest thing about removing them is getting the very edge of the sticker to come up as they are quite tight, its hard to get them started so to speak. Once there off it leaves a lot of left over adhesive, some white spirit sorted that out tho and it comes off quite easily when you apply loads! You can get some proper mesh from minisport, its on there demo, they do the full kit for aero, looks ok! 2001 cooper (sold) ![]() 1995 Supra RZ-S TT auto in white. |

Offline | I agree that the rear sticker is naff and a joke when you've paid over a grand. I've ordered the Aero bumpers (prefer the S skirts) fully colour coded but will be fitting mesh inserts from Minisport.com, they're available here: http://www.minisport.com/new-mini-sh...t-product.html |

Offline | I'll have to get back to you on that one no fitting instructions on the website and kit hasn't arrived yet. Getting a local garage to do it for me (not rip off BMW) PS your MINI looks sweeeet, that's the effect I'm going for colour coded Aero kit with X-lites (except mine are white ) |

Offline | At the end of the day the standard MCS and Aero kit have rear air vents that are phoney fake and totally unnecessary, but rather have something that actually looks like it might be an air vent and not just a sticker... |

Offline | Hey guys. I took off the fake mesh on mine last week. As Rayman says, it's just a case of getting your nail under the corner to start it, and then unpeeling it. Lots of white spirit and elbow grease needed to get the remaining glue off, but well worth it in my opinion. Don't be afraid of doing it, it's dead easy Before: After: |

Online | It's an f-ing sticker???!!! That's so incredibly cheesy and cheap for something so pricey. I've always loved the way the aero kit looks, but have never seen one close up and personal. I think I'll wait awhile to order the complete kit. Perhaps if enough people complain about the sticker shock they'll do away with it or use real mesh. That's just terrible! Nylo: You're right. It looks better plain without the cheesy sticker. |
