Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! I have to agree, I was all set to have the stripes added as soon as they were available. Now I\'m not so sure... Is it me or shouldn\'t the stripes be parallel to each other? These seem very angled towards the middle of the car. Cool pics though!!! |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! I’m already on record as not being a big fan of stripes, but I think I didn’t like the looks when I first saw them because they were too close together for my tastes. Here’s a image I (crudely) created that shows what stripes might look like if moved a bit further apart. ![]() What do you think? |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! I think they would look better straight, rather than angled, but then they would run into the windshield washers and/or not line up with the fog lamps. Maybe they were angled because the hood curves so that a straight adhesive stripe would pucker, or bubble or something. At least now I know I don\'t want hood stripes! |

I think four spots look better, but I think they need to be bigger, they look a little lost! |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! Bruce, thanks for the altered image. Much Better!!! The position looks more like the edge of the bonnet on the classic Mini. :) All I\'ve got to do now is pursuade the garage not to use templates and keep the stripes wider apart. Also, I understand what your saying Smiffy but coming from the edge of the grill would touch the lights. I\'ll just have to comprimise |

| MINI2 Newbie | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! I think the stripes look better farther apart, more in keeping with a Classic Mini. Couldn\'t one just buy the stripes seperately and apply them where they wish? Or are they specifically cut to be applied where they are in the picture? |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! The angle of the stripes is meant to copy the way the stripes were applied to the Cooper F1 and other formula cars. In other words, it\'s a heritage thing. |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! Have just had confirmation from my garage... :? The stripes are pre-cut and they are designed for a set position on the bonnet. :( I think I\'ll pass on the BMW stripes and see if I can pursuade a Car Graphics company or Friendly Mini Garage to add them exactly where I want. |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! The stripes dont come with templates. They just naturally fit where the (unaltered) piccies show - just either side of the windscreen washers. Almost any vehicle sign writing company should be able to cut something more to your personal taste on their vinyl cutting machine. |

| Tinkering In The Garage | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! the stripes do look better further apart which was my first thought when i saw them, i\'ve already asked my friend who does graphic if he can do some further apart, no problem he said but needs a car to work on, might be able to do a chequered roof kit to work with the sun roof eventually i will keep you informed as he makes progress just needs a car now Ady (R50)B) |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! I got the stripes done for my Birthday. What do you think? I\'m pretty pleased myself! 8D £30.00 from a local graphics company - thanks for the tip Martyn. Slightly cheaper than BMW\'s quote of £150.00 (incl vat) |

Offline | Dodgers pics of spot lights and stripes, very good too they are! Saffy, What an excellent set of stripes, they really suit the car especially on a red and white car. Perhaps you could give forum members the phone number of the graphics company that you so anyone else who may want stripes could contact them. Nice brithday present Regards Tim |
