| MINI2 Newbie | Please do not buy these. I bought them for $389.00 and they are terrible. They come thrown in a box with one faded piece of paper that is supposed to be instructions. ONly problem is there in german. There is no toggle switch and it looks like a big problem to do this installation. If you plan on ordering driving lights check with mini-madness.com not mini mania. Infact I don't think I will ever order from there again. Fortunately I can send back my lights for credit but man oh man, they suck. The lights look like such crappy quality like they have less candle power than my desk lamp. Sorry to disappoint anyone but order them from mini-madness.commini-madness.com Jordan Soblick 2002 Mini Cooper S Dark Silver w/white roof and mirror caps, Blue/Black leather, Sport, Premium, 17" S-lite wheels, fully loaded!! |

| MINI2 Global Moderator | Any chance you could post a picture? I thought the Mini Mania driving lights are the proper BMW ones, hence the german instructions? Theres no rocker switch because they should wire into the existing loom so they are activated on main beam only. AFAIK that is ![]() the MINI has gone... |

Offline | I've been looking whether to self install a set of light's.From the comments being made it looks like the the "genuine BMW" driving lights are wired to come on with the main beams and they place a relay in the cockpit, hence the pain in the bum to fit & why BMW are charging large labour costs. I am looking at self installing a set of Hella lamps and keeping the wiring under the bonnet. Hella do a wide range of lamps and I have managed to source some chrome ones. The brackets will probably come from BMW. The whole lot costing about the same as the "genuine BMW" ones, that is only due to wanting chrome lamps. Just got to find the time to do it ![]() |

Offline | MM lights They are definately original BMW, I sent them out there! Any original stuff I get hold of, will be sold at discount to any Mini2 users, however I cannot speak for Mini Mania, we are two separate companies! |
