I cant see how yours are LIMO tints.. as these let less than 5% of light through but in your picture i can see right through

Is it worth getting the whole car tinted or just the back ones behind the drivers seats? In my last car I had limo tints in the back and a light smoke one the fronts and they didnt make much difference on the fronts.

Out of personal preference what do you guys prefer?

i think an all round equal light smoke tint works well...

but it is illegal now.. so unless you want trouble from the law i would advise against it..

not sure what % is, think its about 37%

depends on your position to the car aswell for how dark they look aswell.
but looks nice

DIY Tinting anyone?

Hi Guys,

Thinking of Tinting my own car, does anyone think this is a good idea? or will it look stupid? Has anyone else done a DIY tint job? if so, do you have any piccies? and where did you get your tint kit from?

Thanks

Robbie unless you are really good and practiced for what its worth there is no point. The films you get for DIY areno where near as good as the proffesional tint film and its really hard to do without getting dust/hairs or creases in and you'll never be happy with the end result.

Medium Smoke all round (looks more like dark), had it since 20th May with no problems so far. Even been pulled over at night and they didn't notice

OK, this is how it works on tints,
technically, all tints are illegal on front.
if you get stopped for driving like a loony, by a traffic cop, then he will go round your car and pick on everything he can, tyre scrub if car lowered, exhaust noise, lights if not stock, number plate alterrations and of course window tints, have known of cops making the poor kid peel of the tints by the side of the road.

hey!

well ive just been reading through this thread but i still have a question,

me and another mini2 guy had tinted my back windows last night using the limo style tint, we took about 2 hours per window and have to say it looks fab, not a bubble or crease in it! and all the tint cost 7 quid! cant be bad to that now eh!!!!

but my question is, is there a legal limit for the back windows, i.e the back seat windows and the rear window of the car, we are going to give the back windscreen a go this week but we are only going to use smoke tint for it, but im just worried incase i get pulled or fail my MOT for them even being too dark?

thanks for youre help!
