Lime Water Staining my bonnett

Hi folks, just a quick Question.

The other morning i left my car in the car park at the gym i use. It is an underground carpark and i am always very careful not to leave it under the drips from above which can damage the paint. On this occasion however i was less careful and got drips of water falling onto the bonnett. On returning home i spent 30 minutes cleaning, T-cutting then polishing the Bonnett to remove the white stain left by the dirty water and all looked well until.....

.......this evening. I have found that there is a white stain that appears where the worst of the original staining was. This seems to be a powdery stain that can be brushed off quite easily.

Am i talking complete rubbish or has this happened to anyone else, and if so, what did they do about it and will this effect be short lived?

Regards

Mark

try using a fine compound to polish out the mark or try mguiars scratchX after use mguiars tech wax to see if that works.
good luck

urgh...i'm not sure t-cut is a good idea...there is a laquer on some paints and that cuts straight though it...it can make the paint look dull afterwards.

i use autoglym tar and bug remover or whatever its called...does a brilliant job even with pine sap that has set rock hard (no, its not aphid dung...unless the aphids get together on mass in winter and try and rival the squirrel's offerings)
