Can anyone help...i'm thinking of going silver roof and spoiler. Now i've seen it on one mini in the summer and assumed that it was part of the new 2006 spec, but now i'm not so sure...but anyway here goes.

Does anyone know if BMW do a silver roof and bonnet stripe option?

If so does anyone know the cost of a roof and spoiler respray from BWM UK?

Is it worth looking for a 3rd party to do it, is there anyone reliable or am i best off taking it to BMW (where i assume it will be warrantied) and so i have some sort of backup should it go wrong ( i AM a fussy b'stard, and do not like anything less than factory fit and finish)

Can anyone see any downsides to the idea? (at the moment she's non-metallic black with white roof n stripes)

Only the limited editions come with Silver Roof at the moment , its not an option on normal One, Cooper or 'S' as things stand today.
A Respray of the roof could be done at a BMW approved bodyshop in Pure Silver, I'd estimate around £200 ish. Silver Bonnet stripes can be supplied and fitted by any decent vehicle graphics company many of which advertise here on MINI2

Is it really that cheap for a roof respray? hmm...this could be the way to go.

Now all i have to do is catch an eye out for a special with a silver roof and find the paint code.

Funny cos the one i've seen twice in Bournemouth is the newer red that replaced chili red with the stripes as well...

done a bit more research...think checkm8 silver is the colour to be...now i have to solve the stripes.

I wonder if they can be sprayed on the car...? (that way i dont have to worry about dicky glue problems)
