Non-PDC aero kit on PDC cabrio?

I am wondering if anyone has fitted a non-PDC rear bumper on a PDC car? Did you end up drilling holes in the bumper to allow the PDC sensors to fit? If so, did it screw up the PDC sensor range?

Thanks for any info you may be able to provide.

I have a PDC car (not cab) with a non PDC rear aero bumper. I have not yet cut out holes for the sensors so would be interested as to what would happen. Can't see it being any problem though unless the sensors need mounting tubes. I've never seen pics of a PDC bumper with the sensors removed though.

It was acceptable in the 80's

I've seen pictures of BMW PDC bumpers with mounting tubes, so I would think that the MINI may be the same.

...and I guess that means that the sensors would have mounting clips that fitted into these tubes. That might mean you'd have to glue the sensors in place but this may be difficult to do and get them to sit flush.

the hatchback and cabrio have different rear bumpers due to the boot hinges and as all cabrios come with PDC, and non PDC bumper wont fit on a cabrio, hope this makes sense.

Thanks Rob. I forgot all about the boot hinge getting in the way. I was hoping I could just have someone place holes where the sensors need to be. I have an opportunity for a great deal on an aerokit, but I have a cabrio. So, I'll have to see if he will sell to me without the rear bumper.
