one more aero grill question

I know how much I need to trim of. But I've got one question, normally the system is made for the 1 cm tabs. But when you take a lot of material away exept the tabs the tabs will be around 2 cm. Does the grill then still has enough grip or is there a little space due to the longer tabs, so that you need to use some kit to fit it?

I know it isn't the best way to explain, but hope someone knows what I mean and can help me.

I think I understand what you are saying. My tabs remained the entire length. I put them through the slots in my bumper cover and then used "Liquid Nails" (a strong construction glue) and built up around the tabs behind the slots. There is no movement at all and the tabs do not get in the way of the metal bumper behind the cover.

I did have to keep pressure on the grill to keep it from coming out of the slots until the glue was dry.

Hope this helps.

yes that's what I mean. The tabs go further in the hole than the "old" tabs.

Is there anyone who just cutted of the tabs and kitted the grill on the bumper?

I thought about it. But decided against it since I was afraid that glue would be able to be seen through the grill from the front.
